Bishan JC
Today, Gerard and I went back to Bishan JC. For fun. I am very random and like doing things at the spur of the moment (Richard Branson endorses this so perhaps I have a shot at being as successful as him in life... Haha, case in point!)
In the evenings most teachers had left. We chatted with Mr Leong abit, he's still his cheeky ole self. I've always admired Mr Leong and desired to live his anything goes, let-it-be life. Our atypical role model. Oh and ODAC25 (gosh aren't we old!) is going to Aussie for this year's eoy ex. 2 weeks of trekking, navigating, Mr Leong-style. Next year I am so gonna tag along - didn't know we actually could!
Ah Bishan JC the start and end point of my 2 years' rollercoaster ride. There are things to miss, certainly. Though many things are different now (no more big friendly giant, the vendors don uniforms, the stalls have names, and the newspaper articles are framed very "NUS Business School in the News"-ish, amongst other things), the sense of place still remains. They've put up a sports record roll (it really looks even more corporate than before now), and before leaving, I proudly pointed out that we made the most records in 2007. Then the instant reflex from both of us, "Not like I/you contributed to that it any way". Yeah, but I guess I said that because, somehow someway (though not in every way), I do identify and am proud to be, a Rafflesian :)
