best i ever had

candles and balloons,
confetti and song;
and most of all, the people
they are all that matter.

classmates past and present
my best buds nonetheless;
and many more odacians
with whom i share adventures.

felt really touched and very loved,
tried so hard to hold the tears;
though i knew right from the start
something must be up :P

for the heapsful of chocolates,
and lifetime worth of memories,
and for the magical surprise,
a thousand thank yous will not suffice.

it was the best i ever had.

waaah i am moved by my own poem! heh. gee in 1 hour and 15 minutes the magic will disappear, i will lose my crown and life will be back to normal again. but i believe the memories will stay.. and that's all that truly matters (:
thankyou everyone who was part of the 'surprise', and to everyone else who remembered the day, i remember each and every one of your birthday blessings! friends are LOVE. actually the party was part-surprise, part-not; cos of certain people who spilled the beans to me. lol. but it really didn't matter.. i had a lot of fun. and was really really touched that it even happened.
right now i truly feel blessed, loved, happy, thankful and xing fu. blessed and loved by you guys, happy with the company of you all, thankful for you all, and fortunate to have you guys as friends! it was the best birthday i have had in years, or maybe even, the best i ever had.

i had a second surprise during dinner at fish&co tm with mom and kevin. was made to stupidly stand on the chair, holding a sparkler, when the crew and pretty much everyone else in the restaurant sang my birthday song. mom actually bought a small (ok not very, we gave the rest of the cake to the funky crew) portion of greentea cake from breadtalk.
i feel overwhelmed. by love and happiness. thankyou.
