The Day I Made Mom Cry

When I was a little, I remember;
I was a troubled petite soul
I worried, I feared, in sleep I shudder.
Ever so afraid, about nothing.
Then, I made mom cry.

When I grew a little more, I remember;
I was a somewhat rebellious
I was rude, ill-mannered, often I screamed at her
Yet she stood by me, all these while
Then, I made her cry.

Now I’m older, and hopefully;
An aspiring young lady
I work, I strive, I want to achieve
Keeping in mind, hopes she held
And now, I still make mom cry.

Eighteen years of life thus far
I have made mom cry more than enough.
Of joy or sorrow, doesn’t matter
Hurts all the same to see these tears
Cause I made them fall.

generation angst

welcome to the generation of emokids.

the perpetual angst that dwells in the air really disturbs me. and it's contagious too. it's most unfortunate that i too, am a victim of this evil. and thus results in scary fluctuations of moods. terrible. cmon guys lets say NO to angst. emo no cool

haven't updated in so long. the last i wrote in my journal (yes i do keep a written journal haha) was probably.. january? it's so ironic that the busier we are, ie the more happening our lives are, the less time we have to update our blogs and journals.

let's see what's blogworthy bout my life in the past month.. the perak expedition was quite a breath of fresh air but it was over before we knew it. i really liked the hut-like place we stayed in. one day i'll build my own treehouse and live in it (: and our term in odac will officially conclude in 2 weeks. too quick to be true.

oh and raffles ringers was awarded gold with honours for syf this year. i know there are quite extreme opinions regarding the judging and the whole thing about how the landscape for bells is changing.. but that didn't quite dampen the euphoria. i was literally on a high. and i'm proud of the juniors(:

hmm what else these days. these days i've been thankful for people around me.. okay i'm kinda losing my train of thoughts. and i don't like long storybook entries therefore i shall get off the comp.

and HAPPY BIRTHDAY WENXIN! gosh the island creamery date hasn't happened yet. and i've been stuck at episode 15 of devil by my side for the longest time. but anyhow, know you've had a great birthday this year. why not? :P
