感叹

某晚搭巴士回家，TV mobile正播放王田裁主持的“消失地平线”，使我感触良多。赫哲族朴实无华的生活，与我们身处的都市群，真是强烈的对比。感叹周围的大家，忙于寻找所谓”快乐“的当儿，或许也”盲于“身边小小的事物，人物。 那些近在眼前却容易被忽略的，快乐点滴。

朋友。

I'm really thankful for my friends. Friends that don't judge, that care (and I care for them too!), that... don't expect anything more from the friendships. That after so long when we meet we can still talk about anything under the sun, joke with one another with no implications, reminisce about the good old days, and in bad times lean on one another and cry.

I love my friends :)

Yesterday we drove out to catch the Leonids Meteor Shower. Singapore is terrible for star gazing, much less meteor watching. But well managed to catch a few, and we wished upon almost everyone of them. Haha and now it seems meteor wishing does come true ;)

Blessing

One of my greatest hopes in life is for all those around me to be happy.

Today I actually felt like I'm blessing those around me. Like why they always come to me to rant, to cry, to complain... Maybe it's because I offer a good listening ear? Or that I can empathize fairly well? Somehow today, I felt like that so many times over. I feel good about myself now.

I think I'm coming closer to realizing what I'm here for :)

Oh so queer!

Boy has it been a (half-)week of quirky encounters.

First on Sunday after the NB Real Run, I decided to do something crazy. The scorching sun was too much to bear (don't get me wrong I love sunshine alright and I wanna soak it all up, but my face is freckled enough as it is) and the shuttle bus queue was really long, and walking out was impossible. So, I decided to hitch a ride. Oh also I wanted to prove my point to Elvis that hitch-hiking in Singapore is not impossible. And I got a ride! Awesome. Not all Singaporeans are, well the typical Singaporeans we have in mind.

Then today after lunch I headed off to study. Wanted to find a place in CBD - I've got this unofficial quest ongoing to uncover nice cafes/hideouts/studying spots all over Singapore - and I ran into a guy on a crazy wedding challenge (or so he claims). So I was made to watch and film a very crazy act, which, as I've learnt from NM1101E that online privacy is non-existent, I shall not spell out in this space. Curious, very curious, indeed. Haha my life almost queer enough to be like Lemony Snicket.

Ohwell. So anyway today's studying spot was Segafredo Zanetti Espresso. Cafe by day, lounge by evening. Come 630pm or so, they even have a DJ of sorts mixing music, disco lights and all, but in a cafe setting. Pretty cool, makes studying Put and Call Options almost bearable. Almost.
